Movement of Breath in the Number Flows, Part 3

Waltraud Riegger-Krause writes about: “Movement of Breath in the Number Flows” in The Main Central Jin Shin Jyutsu Newsletter, issue Number 75, Winter 2012:

***********

So let’s look at the movement of the Breath that takes place when we do/be a flow.

The number 1 Flow is helping us to exhale, connecting the extreme height with the extreme depth, helping the front descending energy, breathing and head discomforts.

When we look at the steps of the sequence or routine, we are holding Safety Energy Lock 1 with one hand and Safety Energy Lock 2 with the other hand. When Jiro Murai created the flows, he knew that in order to exhale – Safety Energy Lock 1 – we also need to inhale – Safety Energy Lock 2. We are pulling the Energy/Breath down the front and up the back – one of the basic principles of Jin Shin Jyutsu.

To further support the Breath moving down the front, we are then moving from Safety Energy Lock 1 to Safety Energy Lock 5, pulling it even further down, releasing all fears and insecurities. The other hand still remains on Safety Energy Lock 2 to bring up the back whatever is being released down the front. The last step is finally moving from Safety Energy Lock 5 to Safety Energy Lock 7, perfect life power, victory. In the 7 we are perfect.

The Breath has come down all the way to be expressed in the body. From here (at 7) it can move up again. So the main focus of this flow is to clear the way of the Energy/Breath down the legs and to support the work of Safety Energy Lock 1.

The 2 Flow has its focus on moving the Energy/Breath up the back, to help the inhalation. It is used when the legs are full and heavy and we want to bring the Energy/Breath up to support hip and back. In order to fulfill this work, we are holding Safety Energy Lock 2 – Life Force for all creatures, wisdom, inhalation helper – with the same side Safety Energy Lock 6 in the first step. Again we are supporting the inhalation of the body by using a Safety Energy Lock that balances the exhalation, because these two movements of the Breath are dependent on each other. The next step is supporting the inhalation and the connection from above to below and from below to above, number 8, bringing us into a cosmic rhythm. Now, again, supporting of  the exhalation with the next step, we are moving to the opposite Safety Energy Lock 5. Whenever we are moving to the opposite side of the body, we are incorporating the Mediator Activity Principle. Safety Energy Lock 2, which stands for all dualistic forces in our life, needs some movement to get out of the one-sided view of life, and at the same time the 5 is supporting man by releasing fear.

Now with the following steps, we are supporting the Energy/Breath moving up the back by using Safety Energy Lock 9, 26, 3 and 4. We are clearing the pathway for inhalation and pulling the Energy/Breath up the back.

In just looking at these two flows we can understand how the Number Flows of Text 1 work in relation to moving the Breath through the body by using aspects of the Supervisory and Mediator Flows.
