The Journey Continues…Pat’s Inspirations

July 28, 2003 – At the recent Journey Continues seminar in Scottsdale, David Burmeister welcomed everyone and introduced Pat Meador, a lifelong student and friend of Mary Burmeister. Pat has been serving the Jin Shin Jyutsu community for almost 30 years at the Scottsdale office. Pat graciously welcomed us and commended the love and devotion of the three senior instructors, Muriel Carlton, Philomena Dooley and Wayne Hackett. Pat shared inspiring thoughts with the gathering. We were so touched by her visions for serving and healing the people of Earth that I am sharing them in her own words.

“I am always excited when I see a Jin Shin Jyutsu student on my appointment schedule. I would love to share an hour with each of you. When I first learned Jin Shin Jyutsu, Mary came to our area on Sundays. I would drive from Hemet, California, to Palm Springs to listen to Mary talk about the Safety Energy Locks.”

“As I studied with Mary, she suggested that I practice Jin Shin Jyutsu. She said if I would jump off the diving board, she felt I would find every moment different and every moment exhilarating…and what a journey it is! It is a long and endless journey, which is one of the things which makes it so special. I call it long because Mary said she would give each of us fifty years to learn and study the Art. I like to remember her telling me that, because it tells me I have a little more time before I can be judged too harshly about what I know or don’t know. I just know I am no longer ‘trying to’ know, rather, I am just wanting to know.”

“Mary told us about the equipment that we have. She said we are energy and that energy does not tire. So, we have an inexhaustible supply of energy, an inexhaustible source of energy. I believe I heard or read someplace that all the power in the universe is in each of us. So, we have our equipment – we are well equipped. We can travel from city to city knowing that we can never leave anything of real value behind us…including fingers!”

“Mary said that when she was asked by her teacher if she would like to study with him, she said, ‘Alright’, but as time passed and as she studied, she realized the responsibility behind his request. Surely we know that she did not neglect any responsibility, and so we are blessed. All parts of the world are blessed. She is an indescribably special lady.”

“So, we have studied, and I/we can accept responsibility. We could eliminate the need for all mental wards in hospitals and all penitentiaries. All we need do is release Safety Energy Locks. Mary said if there were no blocked Safety Energy Lock 12’s in the world, there would be no need for mental or penal institutions. All we need do is release 12’s, right mental and left destructive.”

“We have a really large project before us, so we may need a larger work force. I have always said we need a minimum of two Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioners in every city block, and there are many cities and many city blocks. Many have said that Jin Shin Jyutsu should be taught in the public schools, starting with kindergarten through high school, and we could add to that the private schools and home study courses. What about making Jin Shin Jyutsu compulsory study courses for nurses? Nurses could work with patients, and the patients would enthusiastically take Jin Shin Jyutsu to their families. Mental and penal institutions would be obsolete by then; then we can work on helping Medicare to recognize Jin Shin Jyutsu. Then the whole world would be healthy. Of course, there might be some people still accident prone, so we might still need a few hospitals. (The whole room laughed.)”

“I like to dream, and another dream is that these three instructors live in Scottsdale between their travels to other places.”

“One more ‘Mary said’ – From time to time, I would hear her say, ‘Pat loves everyone unconditionally.’ I do, and I bless each of you on your joyous journey. Thanks to these three instructors – these three wise ‘men’ – we thank them for leading us on this most exhilarating journey.”

“I should have warned them that if they gave me a soap box, I would take all of their time.”

Pat stepped down to a standing ovation. She received many hugs and left the room to another standing ovation. The Universe blesses the worldwide Jin Shin Jyutsu community through Pat.

Thank you, Carolynn.

Thank you, Pat.

Thank you, Mary.

Thank you, David.
