All Combined Energy-Timing, Part 9

Cynthia Broshi shares her understanding of All Combined Energy, Pages 43 and 42, Text 2, in The Main Central Jin Shin Jyutsu Newsletter, issue Number 54, Fall 2006:

“Open your textbook and day-dream.” ~ Mary Burmeister

Oscar expressed his Sun Sign, Aries, in remarkable ways. Aries “rules” the head. Since age 3 months Oscar had experienced blows to the head – I heard of an epic journey of unlikely accidents and falls. At age 7 he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Though a year of medical treatments appeared to eradicate the tumor he’d never regained his sense of balance or energy. Right around his 9th birthday (Lung Function Energy: Aries) new tumors were discovered.

Uzi and I started working with Oscar several months into a new series of chemotherapy. The Pulse often asked for Lung Function. Soon, with decreased nausea and dizziness, Oscar was able to return part-time to school, and to recommence work on his fabulous drawings of dragons. Many hours went into each of these colorful, brilliantly original, fire-breathing (Mars: Aries!) dragons. One day after his session, Oscar ran through the living room where his Mother and I sat talking. “That’s the first time I’ve seen him run in two years!” she exclaimed. Soon he had the energy to run all around New York City, and met the cast of Harry Potter at their film release party. A week later he strutted all evening in a red beret at the gallery opening for a show of his dragons, the sales of which raised thousands of dollars for children’s health services. He felt great. Then, as suddenly as it had flamed forth, this outpouring of fiery energy extinguished. quickly and quietly his body shut down. Within three weeks, not yet 10, Oscar died.

And there’s Jesse. His Mother, Lila, arrived for sessions speaking of fatigue and depression. Her Pulse asked for 4th Depth and 1st Depth flows. Within a few weeks she felt lighter, and as I listened at the end of the session a new, singular voice spoke out in the Pulse: “Aries”. It had an expansive airy quality, like a sun spun of bright air, slightly reflective as is white silk, radiating just a hint of rainbows. I was surprised. It was so different from what I’d heard in her Pulse till now. As well, I don’t usually hear Pulse speak in the language of Zodiac. The clock said the session was over, so all week I wondered about that new voice, yearning to respond.

The next week, immediately, as I bent to listen… “Aries”. I went right to Lung Function Energy, after which the entire Pulse flowed soft yet solid, airy yet contained, slightly double and lightly springy – like the Happiness pulsation of Page 8 in Text 1. When mother and child are harmonious, we might hear this pulsation during pregnancy. At this moment Lila spoke of a recent miscarriage, and the desire she and her husband shared for a child. The next week she announced, “It’s too early to tell, but I think I might be pregnant.” I looked at the calendar – mid-April – and felt pretty sure. The following week the tests were positive, and throughout his months of gestation Jesse’s little Aries spark – conceived in the Sun of Aries – asked frequently for a Lung Function Flow. He was born Sagittarius (more fire!) and perfect.
