As Above, So Below ~ So Below, As Above

“I will give you the KEYS of the kingdom of heaven and whatever you shall BIND on earth shall have been BOUND in heaven, and whatever you shall LOOSE on earth shall have been LOOSENED in heaven.” (Matthew 16:19)

The second story involves myself. Some of you have heard this one. In 1978 I was going through an emotionally difficult period. In other words, I was stressed and emotional. My upper back began to hurt. Because this was not a chronic condition, I was quite aware of it. Later I was to learn that it was my right 10. One morning I went out for a run. Looking upwards at the beautiful October trees, I stepped into a chuckhole, fell and hit my left kneecap hard on the road. Hobbling home, I was grounded. I went to see my doctor. It was not broken but I had smashed the bursa underneath. Immediately I started with physical therapy which had no effect on the injury. I received excellent care with no improvement. Why not? If the medical treatment had helped, and there was no logical reason at the time for it not working, I would not have found Jin Shin Jyutsu. If I had not been experiencing a difficult time, if my right 10 had not been painful, if I had not fallen, I would not have been led to Jin Shin Jyutsu.

Desperate after weeks of pain, I went to see Marion Campbell in San Francisco. I knew her husband who was helping me through the “difficult time”, and I had become friends with her daughter-in-law. Marion gave me a 10 Flow! Disappointed, I wanted something for my knee, not my back! The next morning I woke to realize that the knee pain was gone, that I had slept through the night for the first time in weeks, pain free.

As it was LOOSENED in heaven, it was LOOSED in earth.

One of my favorite class notes is, “If you can’t breathe, go to the feet.” I wrote this listening to Mary talk about the 5, 6, 7, 8 Flow. Eight (8) opens the shoulders, seven (&) clears the head, six (6) opens shoulders and neck, five (5) provides regenerative energy for all.

BINDS on earth, BOUND in heaven. BOUND in heaven, BINDS on earth.
