I have two…two rescue cats…I always mind the cat!
In issue Number 64, the Spring 2009 issue of The Main Central Jin Shin Jyutsu Newsletter, Mark Hovis shares these thoughts about harmonizing chaos:
Minding the Gap, Harmonizing Chaos
continuing:
And on page 124 [The Power of NOW by Eckhart Tolle], he continues, “Love as a continuous state is as yet very rare – as rare as conscious human beings. Brief and elusive glimpses of love, however, are possible whenever there is a gap in the stream of mind.”
In the book, The Joy of Living, the author, Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, also talks about the Gap:
“…there’s often a gap between thoughts – maybe it lasts for just a split second, but still, there’s a gap. That gap is the experience of the complete openness of natural mind. The process of observing your thoughts goes on and on in this way: thoughts followed by gaps, followed by thoughts, followed by gaps. If you continue this practice, very gradually the gaps become longer and longer, and your experience of resting the mind as it is becomes more direct.”
Twenty-four (24), as the gap, harmonizes chaos by allowing the harmony to be revealed. No doing here, just being the gap, and the harmony is present. behind the chaos, harmony is always present.
Safety Energy Lock 24 promotes peace for mind and body and is effective for helping us overcome stubbornness, as well as feelings of jealousy, revenge and the fear that the right thing won’t happen. Safety Energy Lock 24 is located on the gall bladder organ flow pathway about an inch up the foot between the base of the little and ring toes. It is at the gap on the ventral side or top of the foot between the toes of 4th Depth and 3rd Depth, just as 6th Depth (24 is a 6) is located in between 4th and 3rd Depths in the Order of Creation.
I did find a couple of other three-letter words that add up to 24: cat and ear. Having lived with a cat for many years, I can understand, “Mind the Cat”. Well, I haven’t seen t-shirts or bumper stickers that say “Mind the Cat” or “Mind the Ear”, so I’ll stay with minding the 24 by “Minding the Gap”.
Our lives are deeply enhanced when we grant ourselves gaps between our thoughts, gaps in our busy daily schedules and seasonal gaps of holidays and vacations. Minding the Gap is a beautiful way to honor the message of Safety Energy Lock 24: Harmonizing Chaos.
(Aside: it brings to mind the Little Man on the Ear; posted in Thoughts, April 23, 2015.)
