I’m thinking about Infinite Life…

…it’s an inside job!

Isn’t it interesting that when I was about 59 years old, I became aware that I am part of all; part of the Wholeness, part of the Oneness.

Only then did I come to know that I know nothing.

Only then did I begin to realize that Infinite Self, Infinite Life has no beginning nor end, but merely changes its expression.

The Maori believe that everything has a definite soul and a liquid concept of spiritual “essence”, revealing itself in land, nature, humans and other objects.  They have a close kinship with their environment. The basis of the Maori culture lies in its Polynesian belief of a divine direction in all matters. In the beginning a host of gods such as Tane Mahuta (God of the Forest) and Tangaroa (God of the Sea), and four others who are : wind, wild food, planted food, and mankind, were born to Rangi (the Sky Father) and Papa (the Earth Mother).

“Kaitiakitanga” refers to stewardship or guardianship of the environment. A related concept is “mana whenua”, meaning “those who belong to the land”. Only those with mana whenua can exercise kaitiakitanga. Perhaps most critically, for those who have mana whenua, the exercise of kaitiakitanga is not just a responsibility, but an obligation – which is intrinsically connected with a hapu or iwi’s mana (status or integrity).

My simplistic understanding is that the Maori are aware that they are part of all, part of the Wholeness, part of the Oneness.

My awareness of Infinite Life as pure vibration; movement and music aligns with the Maori cultural beliefs. I am part of dear Cecil the lion, the beautiful Japanese cherry tree, the brook running by beside my apartment building…the little bunch of catnip my friend grows in her garden…horror of horrors, I am also a part of that horrible dentist who slew Cecil.

Whatever shall I do? I shall breathe.

Text 2, Stages of Life in a Human Being, Part 1, Ages 57-64

We have been looking at The Main Central publications that offer great insight into the contents of Text 2.

Issue Number 67, Winter 2010 continues a series of articles about the stages of life in a human being from page 42 of Text 2, authored by Iole Lebensztajn.

Today we will continue with that series:

Stages of Life in a Human Being (Continued)

DIAPHRAGM – 57-64 YEARS OLD PAGE 42, TEXT 2

Freedom to BE

“This is one more step to experience Know Myself BE IT IS IS (Infinite Truth, Infinite Self, Impersonal Self). Diaphragm is a 6th Depth Flow so we are closer to our Source to whom we are in essence. Now Know Myself with all my perfections and imperfections. Now I don’t have the pretension that I know everything as when I was 25 to 32 years old (Heart Function Energy, another Chest Function Energy), I know that I know nothing and I am opened to still learn and live with my doubts. And at the same time, I am available to share what I have learned with others if they are interested. Therefore this can be a very rich period of time, with a lot of teaching, learning, exchange and growth.

Diaphragm Function Energy is a Chest Flow, and as all Chest Flows, will help to bring authenticity to my expression…for me to be aligned to what and who I truly am. Truth is something that Sagittarius, the sign related to Diaphragm, is always questing for. Most of us after years of looking for the answers outside will finally perceive that the Infinite Truth is that all that we need, all the resources and all the answers are inside! For sure now I know to appreciate and respect the others’ truth and perspectives. I am freer and I allow others to be so.

Jupiter ruling Sagittarius is bringing the quality of expansion, going beyond limitations, being in touch with my Infinite Self. It is more available now the opportunity to realize how my Self is Infinite in terms of space. When I was younger, I wanted to stand out and to be noteworthy and special. Now I want to see what is universal and what I have in common with all humanity, with all Nature. I have become aware that I am united to all that is, I am part of the Wholeness, the Oneness, and how each part is affected by the harmony or disharmony of the Wholeness and vice-versa. By this time some will be aware of being the Infinite Self in terms of time: That is to say, Life is infinite; it just changes the way it expresses itself, having no beginning and no ending.”

I’m thinking about a quiet mind…

REMOVE THE FILTERS

“You got to look at things with the eye in your heart, not with the eye in your head.”
— Lame Deer, Medicine Man of the Oglala people

Whenever we’re thinking, our experience is being filtered through our minds. For example, when I say to myself, “What a beautiful sunset!” I am not fully experiencing the sunset because I am involved with the words in my mind.

Explore letting go of the thoughts, the words, and connecting directly with your experiences. Tune in to the silence and the sensations in your body. Be aware of the spaciousness this brings because this is truly living in the present moment.

Being present doesn’t mean that we have to abandon thinking entirely. That’s not feasible, of course. But we can experiment with what it’s like to stop thinking once in a while!

“Only in quiet waters things mirror themselves undistorted. Only in a quiet mind is adequate perception of the world.”

I’m thinking about the future…

THE KEY TO THE FUTURE

“The future is not some place we are going, but one we are creating. The paths are not to be found, but made. And the activity of making them changes both the maker and their destination.”
— John Schaar

We’ve been taught to look forward to our future. Somehow, we believe, things will be better then. But the future is not available to be lived – we can only live NOW. So what are we doing to live best right now? What are we doing now that will bear fruit when we reach some future now?

I’m thinking about the goal of spiritual life…

Huston Cummings Smith quotes:

“If we take the world’s enduring religions at their best, we discover the distilled wisdom of the human race.”

**********

“Institutions are not pretty. Show me a pretty government.

Healing is wonderful, but the American Medical Association?

Learning is wonderful, but universities?

The same is true for religion…religion is institutionalized spirituality.”

*********

“The goal of spiritual life is not altered states, but altered traits.”

Text 2, Stages of Life in a Human Being, Part 2, Ages 49-56

We have been looking at The Main Central publications that offer great insight into the contents of Text 2.

Issue Number 66, Fall 2009 continues a series of articles about the stages of life in a human being from page 42 of Text 2, authored by Iole Lebensztajn.

Today we will continue with that series:

Stages of Life in a Human Being (Continued)

KIDNEY – 49-56 YEARS OLD PAGE 42, TEXT 2

Know Myself

“The Kidney organ has a seed shape like a bean. It is related to the seeds, potentials and gifts we bring to develop in this lifetime and also the seeds we plant in the heart of each person we are or have been in touch with through how we treat them. Kidney Function Energy is related as well to the seeds we bring from past generations (and/or past lives) and the seeds we will leave for the next generations (and/or next lives). That is a time to contemplate about how I have transformed resources I have received from the past and how I can share these transformed, recycled, even “upcycled” resources to be utilized in the future. I want everybody to upgrade now and also in the future. How can I be a source, a resource, for helping the world to be a happier place to be?

As discussed in the previous article of this series about the Bladder “time”, this is still a period of deep crisis for many of us. Some people start suffering because of fear of death (a Scorpio subject), that many times is caused by not living life in its depth and intensity. In fact, any kind of loss can be very difficult to deal with when the principles related to Kidney Function Energy are not well developed in our lives. Scorpio teaches us that, in truth, one does not lose what is really essential for our soul to grow in awareness, only that which is superficial and superfluous. Remember, this is a Deep Flow! Many times when we give up what is not essential, we will not feel this as a loss. However, when I am attached to it, and life takes it from me, I am likely to feel deprived.

Scorpio is opposite to Taurus (Large Intestine Function Energy – I have). That’s why we need to revisit the qualities brought by Large Intestine when we are 49-56 years old which are Security, Abundance, Generosity and Gratitude for what I have now instead of focusing on what I lost, what was taken or what I was not able to get till now.

As Heart Function Energy is a double fire, Kidney Function Energy is a double water, because Scorpio’s element is water, and 4th Depth is also water. Scorpio has to be with and explore our deep emotion and to be in movement – and in this case we will observe an intense movement inside that not always is perceived from outside.

Kidney Function Energy is the bridge with 6th Depth, our individual Source, the access to the Infinite Self. It is the bridge between form and formless. The more attached to matter I am, the more fear or resistance I will have to cross this bridge, to move through the steps that will take me closest to where I will find my true Self and finally Know Myself.”

Thank you, Iole.

Thank you, Mary.

Thank you, David.

I’m thinking about change…

A NEW LOOK AT OLD ATTITUDES

“I can change. I can live out my imagination instead of my memory. I can tie myself to my limitless potential instead of my limiting past.”
— Stephen Covey

I was eating lunch with a friend who shared that she disliked one of the vegetables on my plate and hadn’t eaten any since childhood. I suggested that sometimes our tastes change and maybe she could give it another try. She did, and to her surprise, she enjoyed it. Her world became a little richer as she opened to new possibilities.

Is there something in your life you might be willing to give another try?

“Change. It has the power to uplift, to heal, to stimulate, surprise, open new doors, bring fresh experience and create excitement in life. Certainly it is worth the risk.”

Stages of Life in a Human Being (Continued)

KIDNEY – 49-56 YEARS OLD PAGE 42, TEXT 2

Know Myself

“Kidney Function Energy is related to Scorpio, so we know that this will be a time of deep transformation, introspection and contemplation. Kidney Function Energy is a Deep Function Energy, helping us to journey deep inside, looking for what is hidden as secrets, mysteries and treasures. It has to be with getting to know the unknown, or better said, to remember the forgotten.

It is interesting to remember that Kidney Function Energy comes back to Main Central at the base of the sternum, center #14, waistline (page 43, Text 2). We have learned that Waistline is related to our mind expression, the way we digest and process food, thoughts and life in general. Looking at page 2 of Text 1, we see how Mary relates the Waistline with Physio-Psychology, and she says, “Stop, see within, listen.” These words always call my attention, and studying the relationships among Kidney, Scorpio and Waistline, we realize how our mind’s job is really to think more at the contemplation level. The root of the word contemplate is based on temple, which means open or consecrated space. Finally from 49-56 years old, we are more likely to experience our mind as an open, silent space to go inside and observe life from an impersonal perspective. In this period of life we get closer to the Impersonal Self (that Mary also mentions on this same page) – meaning someone who is more a neutral observer of life, detached from one’s ego preferences and needs, and who does not take every circumstance of life as personal stuff.

However, we also know people in these ages who express more the disharmonious aspect of the Impersonal Self which is disinterest, distance and indifference. This movement of going inside is felt more as a withdrawal, where I am busy with my little “me”, expressing mistrustfulness, insecurity and resentment.

In fact, the harmonious expression is to be more involved with sharing with than taking in. From 17-24 years old (Spleen “time” – another Toe Flow), my concern was how to take my sustenance from the world through the job/work. I will choose. From 49-56 years old, my interest is not so centered anymore in my own destiny but in humanity’s destiny. How can I collaborate with life to be not only more sustainable but to improve our environment on earth? I will have more of an ecological approach to life. Seeing myself, as an Infinite Self. I realize that My Self is not restricted to my body expression and how My Self is part of the One Infinite Self, the Wholeness in its infinite expressions, which is also inside My Self.”

To be continued…

I’m thinking about silence…

ATTEND TO THE GAPS

“Practice silence and you will acquire silent knowledge. In this silent knowledge is a computing system that is far more precise and far more accurate and far more powerful than anything that is contained in the boundaries of rational thought.”
— Deepak Chopra

When I was being taught Vipashyana meditation, I was guided to experience the stillness that naturally arises in the moments between the in and out breaths. And Eckhart Tolle recommends becoming aware of the spaces between words. He says that stillness brings awareness of silence, and it’s in the silence that we can experience being fully awake. Consciousness is beyond thought activity. There’s more power in the gaps between the words than in the words themselves.

“In the sweet territory of silence we touch the mystery. It’s the place of reflection and contemplation, and it’s the place where we can connect with the deep knowing, to the deep wisdom way.”
— Angeles Arrien
