I’m thinking…

…about Jin Shin Jyutsu, how the body heals itself, my knee.

Yesterday I went to my Network Chiropractor. In case you are unfamiliar with a Network Chiropractor, you can check out this site: http://www.networkcenterforhealingandwellness.com.

I have 5th Depth issues and a somewhat fragile spine that has required multiple surgeries over the past 40 years. Most recently I herniated two cervical discs in an accident and required a disc/fusion operation. A year later, feeling just great, I was helping someone move, lifted some heavy boxes and herniated 3 more discs…2 thoracic, 1 lumbar.

I went through the usual western medicine process and was told I needed surgery. I declined, opting to give my body a chance to heal itself. I used Jin Shin Jyutsu daily to control the pain and promote healing. I began seeing Dr. Witt twice a week for spinal energy work (as opposed to chiropractic adjustments), and weekly massage therapy with Tina. Haruki Kato (the last living student of Jiro Murai) learned that is was best to treat a disorder from three different points of view. He used “body-balancing” for muscular-skeletal disorders, acupuncture-moxibustion and Chinese herbology for the internal organ systems and Jin Shin Jyutsu for all circulation, including energy. I choose JSJ, Network Chiropractic and massage therapy for my three points of view.

I never had to take pain medication…occasionally a couple of Advil…and it has been more than a 1 1/2 years without surgical correction! My vertebrae are aligned, my discs are regenerating and the only thing I changed was that I only go to Dr. Witt once each week. It is all that is necessary.

Well, if THAT worked, why not try it with my knee?

Since everything begins with the spine, energy work will bring the healing power to my body. It is amazing how similar Network Chiropractic is to Jin Shin Jyutsu. Safety Energy Locks are called Gateways. A light touch is all that is required. I always point out to him when he is touching a Gateway that matches a SEL.

But mostly, as with Jin Shin Jyutsu, it is about the relationship with mind, body and spirit. Those aspects of me need to agree that I walk in perfect health and harmony.

The meniscus tear is on the lateral side of my knee, SEL-8 (infinity). The pain and swelling is on the opposite medial side, SEL-1 (movement). The “stuck” is at SEL-1 because I need to move forward in some area and fear is holding me back. I have determined what that fear is and decided to move forward with fear. The movement will bring the higher healing of body, mind and spirit and the fear will disappear.

As we finished our session, Dr. Witt called energetically on the equivalent of the JSJ 6th Depth “Blueprint” and we both felt the rush of energy directly to the knee.

Let’s see what happens as I continue with reorganizational healing to facilitate the necessary changes.
